Radiesse is a dermal filler that can provide a long-lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds. At our office in Kirkland, Dr. Dry may recommend Radiesse for soft tissue augmentation, which treats conditions such as:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Smile lines
  • Marionette Lines
  • Facial contouring

Radiesse is biocompatible, so no allergy test is required. It’s also durable, so results endure for up to two years.

What is Radiesse dermal filler?

Made by Bioform Medical, Radiesse has a unique composition of water-based gel containing small calcium microspheres. The ingredients are designed to act like a scaffolding for new collagen inside your skin, which provides excellent results that last longer than traditional collagen or hyaluronic acid fillers.

Is Radiesse right for you?

Nearly any wrinkle can be treated with Radiesse. The FDA has approved Radiesse for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinlkles or folds. The most common treatment is correction of smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds.

Soft tissue augmentation with Radiesse has also been used to correct a wide variety of other (often age-related) facial imperfections. If you are bothered by facial wrinkles and folds, Radiesse could be an appropriate solution. Schedule an appointment at our office in Kirkland to determine if Radiesse is suitable for you.

How Dr. Dry Performs a Typical Radiesse Treatment

Before injecting Radiesse, the doctor will cleanse your face and administer a dental block or topical anesthetic, if necessary. Dr. Dry then injects Radiesse beneath your skin at a specific depth. After your injection, he briefly massages the area to promote a smooth result.

After Your Radiesse Treatment

After Radiesse treatment at our Kirkland office, Dr. Dry will send you home with simple instructions for post-treatment care. If necessary, touch-up injections can be administered in the weeks that follow.

Your body will gradually metabolize and clear away the Radiesse material. Studies have shown results of Radiesse lasting an average of 1 year. Most patients can return for another treatment in 12 to 18 months. Radiesse side effects are uncommon, but it is possible to experience mild irritation, edema, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection site.  Ask Dr. Dry for more information if you are concerned about adverse events from Radiesse injection.
